What We Do
What is the Point View difference?
Our mission is to provide end-to-end wealth management by constructing a comprehensive investment strategy using stocks, bonds and similar liquid, publicly traded assets and to harness that strategy to an in depth understanding of your goals, risk tolerance, and financial situation, all in order to manage your investments to achieve your personal financial goals.
What is independent advice?
Point View has no relationship with the issuer of stocks and bonds that could conflict with providing the very best advice. There is no pressure to pitch strategies and products to clients that do not need or want them. Our comprehensive financial planning is likewise independent and fee only.
What is fee only management?
We are fiduciaries that have only your best interests in mind; this is unlike stockbrokers, who may have a vested interest in the products sold. Using extensive research and sound investment principles, we strive to produce superior returns for our clients. This contrasts with many planners, who use planning as a way to sell high-commission funds and annuities. Investment and planning work together to provide our clients with the best possible financial outcome.
How do you customize the portfolios?
As a separate account manager, we believe every client and every family has their own unique financial experience, story, risk tolerance, income needs, and tax situation. Therefore, we approach each client’s portfolio based on the information they provide us. We sit with each client and listen to what they want, analyze their investments, and provide solutions to their financial planning issues all in one. We encourage all family members to be a part of the investment plan, since asset management is about creating generational wealth. Then, we build a portfolio based on an overall asset allocation, through individual stocks and bonds, based on the client and the Point View team’s agreed upon strategy. Finally, we look to communicate with each client’s accountant, lawyers, and any other administrators involved in financial making decisions to establish lines of communication to provide a complete and transparent financial plan.
