CLAIRE E. TOTH, JD, MLT, CFP®
Claire E. Toth is Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Point View Wealth Management, Inc. Point View is part of Peapack Private and a registered investment advisor providing customized investment services to families, trusts and retirement plans. She advises clients on financial, estate, and retirement planning issues, from the most complex to the most basic.
Clients include presidents and other high-level executives of publicly traded companies, Senior Managing Directors of investment banks, and successful entrepreneurs. Ms. Toth has provided strategies for equity compensation, collaring restricted stock, managing SERP investments, and negotiating golden parachutes. Other focuses include divorce planning, elder abuse, and cyber fraud.
Prior to joining Point View, Ms. Toth was of Counsel to the law firm of Herold and Haines, P.A., in Warren, New Jersey. Her practice centered on tax and business planning for closely held businesses and their owners. Before that, Ms. Toth was a Branch Chief in the Office of Passthroughs and Special Industries with the IRS Chief Counsel in Washington. Ms. Toth is also of Counsel to the Summit firm of Bourne, Noll and Kenyon.
Ms. Toth has been active in the ABA Tax Section and the New Jersey State Bar Association. She speaks and writes frequently, for organizations from the local to the national.
Ms. Toth received her A.B. and J.D. degrees from the University of Chicago, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She has an M.L.T. from Georgetown University and has received the Certified Financial Planner designation by the CFP Board of Standards.
Active in the Summit community, Ms. Toth is Secretary of the Summit Historic Preservation Commission, Treasurer of Summit Downtown, Inc., and Assistant Treasurer of SAGE Eldercare. She is a member of the Finance Committees for Family Promise, Impact 100 Garden State, and St. Teresa of Avila Parish.
